Harold Koehler, the owner of Koehler Real Estate, is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas and a member of TAR and NAR, and he has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Earlier in his career he worked as a Special Deputy Receiver for the Insurance industry, was a V.P. and Director of Internal Audit for a billion dollar savings and loan, was a loan workout specialist and REO liquidator for several Savings Assocations, and as a key executive working with other team members in the liquidation of over $4 billion in assets for the FDIC/RTC.

Our straightforward approach in working with our clients is to provide them with the best information we can about prospective properties, and that includes both the pros and cons about each individual property. Every property has positives and negatives as there are no perfect properties. While we have heard many sale’s pitches that focus only on the positives, we also, in an effort to promote transparency and fairness, inform the buyers of any notable negatives. You see, not everyone understands what may be negative and might negatively impact a property and subsequently inhibit your chances to sell at an acceptable price later. So it’s important to understand and discern both sides, the pros and the cons. Here’s a free example, I’ve been on many showings where a selling broker tells a buyer where there’s a good site for building a pond or lake. My advice is not to take that for fact, but to always get that kind of advice from an experienced lake and dam builder during the option period.
